  I cannot convey to you how much I detest going to the dentist. Not only do I have a huge fear of the dentist in general, but I have Asperger's Syndrome too (so I really don't enjoy loud noises, bright lights, etc). I had four previous dentists, all of whom did the basics but not much else. I was always in and out of the practice in a few minutes, and the appointments felt very rushed. They also did nothing to assuage my fear of dentists! I was understandably nervous when I went to Churchill Way Dental Practice today for my initial check-up and hygienist appointment, but I needn't have worried. The dentist and hygienist were knowledgeable, friendly, and explained everything thoroughly in order to help me feel at ease. The hygienist was brilliant and very gentle on my sensitive teeth (unlike the hygienist I saw at my last dental practice in Manchester, who was so rough that I was left in pain for three days afterwards). I was particularly impressed by the little assessment sheet they give you, showing how your teeth are now and what needs to be done over the coming months and years to improve things. I have never seen that at any other practice. I was also given a swift referral to an orthodontist (at my request), in order to sort out my wonky front teeth. The reception staff are lovely too. Highly recommended.
